i) The Particulars of its Organization, Functions and Duties
The Organization is a Government of West Bengal Undertaking and it is a Company as per the Companies Act, 1956. The Head office of the Company is situated at 12, R. N. Mukherjee Road, Kolkata – 700 001.
Company provides its service from seven depots and termini :

The Company provides public Transport through its Tram and Bus services.
ii) The Power & duties of its offices & employee.
The employees below the level of supervision have no financial, administrative or functional power. Generally they carry out instructions of their
superiors. Employees of the rank of Supervisor / Superintendent performduties as per instruction of their
superior, pass on the instructions to sub-ordinates staff and supervise their work Officer
Officers have financial, administrative and functional power which varies depending the rank of the officers. The hierarchal portions is given in the organizational chart.
Managing Director is the administrative head and the Chairman is Chairman of the Board of Directors.
iii) The Procedure in decision making process including c
hannels of supervision and accountability
Decisions are taken at deferent levels in the Company rules and procedure are as follows :
Decision in connection with various scheduled activities are normally taken at supervisory and officer levels. However under some special circumstances decisions are taken by higher levels with consultation and approval of higher authorities as the case may be.
Supervisors : They are responsible in respect to various functions of operations, maintenance and administration. They take decisions in connection with scheduled activities as per guidelines of existing office orders.
Officers (Junior lever) : Decisions about any unscheduled actions that are needed are taken by them as per guidelines of existing office orders. However cases which are beyond their scope inrespect of financial, administrative or technical aspects are forwarded to the Senior level officers or Departmental Heads.
Senior Level Officers /Departmental Heads : Decisions about cases which are forwarded by the lower level officers are taken as per guidelines of existing office orders. In cases of critical importance and other exigencies, they are forwarded for the advice and instructions to the Managing Director.Managing Director : Decisions about cases which are forwarded to the Managing Director are taken by him as per existing guidelines of the Board of Directors and the Government. In matters which are beyond the existing guidelines, the Chai
rman and other members of the Board of Directors and the Secretary, Department of Transport, Govt. of West Bengal are consulted.
The task done by any one is supervised by his immediate higher officer and an employee /officer is accountable to the officer under whose control he works.
iv) The norms set by it for discharge of its function :
To provide maximum number of buses and trams for rendering public transportation service to the benefit of the passengers.
v) Rules, regulation, instructions, manuals and records held by it or under its control or used by its employees discharging its function
The employees discharge their duties on the basis of standing order, service rule and procedures which are established following Practice and conventions which are in vogue for a long time and instruction given by competent authority.
vi) A statement of the categories of documents that are held by it or under its control :
Service file, Cash register, Attendance register, Payroll, Asset register, report, miscellaneous communications and other documents.
vii) The particulars of any arrangement that exists for consultation with, or representation by, the members of the public in relation to the formulation of its policy or implementationthereof:
viii) A statement of the boards, councils, committees and other bodies consisting of two or more persons constituted as its part or for the purpose of its advice, and as to whether meeting of those boards, councils, committees and other bodies are open to the public, or the minutes of such meetings are accessible for public.
Directors are appointed by the Govt. of West Bengal. Meetings of the Board are held in regular interval and Minutes of the meetings are prepared according.
ix) A directory of its officers and employees.
The company carry out its operation through operational, maintenance and administrative Department by officers having designation of Chief Operating Manager, Operating Manager, Traffic Officer, Junior Traffic Officer who are attached to traffic operation and Chief Accounts Officer – Cum Secretary, Accounts Officer, Junior Accounts Officer are attached to accounts department and Senior Engineer(Building), Senior Engineer(Store), Senior Engineer(PWD),Senior Engineer(Bus)Assistant Engineers who are attached to maintenance department and works Manager of rolling stock, Junior System Officer of Computer Department, Law & Claims officer, Assistant Law & Claim Officer of Law department and OSD (personal) of Personal department and Managing Director is the executive head of the Company and there is a Chairman of Board of Directors. Employees perform their duties as per direction of officers.
x) The monthly remuneration received by each of its officers and employees, including the system of compensation as provided in its regulations
This information will be available on application to be made to PIO on deposition of requisite fees to be informed by PIO.
xi) The budget allocation to each of its agency, indicating the particulars of all plans, proposed expenditures and reports on disbursements made.
Plan budget allocation is fixed by State Government in its Annual budget and accordingly allocation of fund is made. Company prepare head wise budget to performed work under different heads this is placed before Board for their approval and after approval by the Board the proposal is sent to the Government for disbursement of fund indicating expenditure in each head. After receiving fund Company utilize the fund as per norms and submit utilization certificate accordingly to the Government.
xii) The manner of execution of subsidy programs, including the amounts allocated and the details of beneficiaries of such programs.
There is no such provision.
xiii) Particulars of recipients of concessions, permits or authorizations granted by it
No concession, permits or authorizations are granted by the company except monthly student concession ticket issued to student and free traveling pass by bus is provided to patients who are suffering from cancer, aids or like diseases etc as per Govt. notification.

Company has a website as Calcuttatramways.com and company floats tender in electronic media as e-tender.
